The Woodland Dunes concert series is a collaboration of ideas and resources of Woodland Dunes and The Golden Ring Music & Folklore Center. One of main goals is to produce a series of family friendly concerts of traditional American roots music - ranging from Appalachian Mountain Music to Traditional Folk music to Acoustic Country Blues as well as music based on those roots. We have two concert series - One is the "Masters of Folk Concert Series" which we try to bring in the best national traditional folk performers. We aim to present only quality entertainment and present it in an enjoyable small intimate setting. We will be bringing in folks whose names may be familiar or unfamiliar, but will always be a delight to our audiences - after attending a few of our concerts you'll know you can trust our judgment.
Another goal is to foster local talent in the Folk Music field and give them an audience to perform in front of and grow. We will be doing just that in our "Five Buck Hootenannies" where our audiences will be treated to new as well as experienced performers in an evening concert of 2 or 3 different performers for the low price of...you guessed it - Five Bucks.
We also hope that this concert series introduces many folks to the many treasures of Woodland Dunes!
